THE MOHAWK EXPERIENCE
YMCA Camp Mohawk is a nonprofit overnight and day camp for girls and young women in Connecticut. Each summer, campers are encouraged to try new things, build independence, and form meaningful friendships in a supportive and inclusive community. At camp, girls are celebrated for who they are while being challenged to discover who they can become.
ACCESS FOR EVERY FAMILY
Camp Mohawk is committed to ensuring that financial need is never a barrier to participation. Through our campership program, we provide financial assistance to families so more girls can experience the confidence, growth, and belonging that camp offers.
By supporting access to camp, we help ensure that every camper, regardless of financial circumstance, has the opportunity to build character, discover her strengths, and feel that she truly belongs.

HEAR FROM OUR FAMILIES
“This year, my daughter’s camp experience was truly elevated by the incredible counselors she had. She couldn’t say enough wonderful things about them – they were fun, kind, and genuinely caring. She also had a fantastic group of campers as cabin mates, which made her time even more enjoyable. I really appreciate the thoughtful planning that goes into cabin assignments, daily activities, meals, and the overall camp experience.”
