Alumni Question of the Quarter: Winter 2025
Camp always provides Campers and visitors with a packing list including essentials like bedding, bug spray, flashlights and sweatshirts for the chilly evenings. However, decades of Mohawkers have personalized their packing lists with items from home to make their stays more comfortable and fun. From beloved stuff animals to Ouija boards, what quirky item did you always bring to camp? Send an e-mail at alumni@campmohawk.org or leave a comment on the Question of the Quarter thread in the Camp Mohawk Alumni Association Facebook group.
Last quarter, we asked Alumni to share a camp story that they still laugh about with their friends. Below are some of the responses we received on the Camp Mohawk Alumni Association Facebook page—come join the discussion!

Allie Doolan: Sneaking away from a staff campfire on the beach to caution tape Katie Bell and Caroline Smith’s cabin.
Laura Maturo: Caroline Cianni and I were some of the last CITs in the CIT Palace (aka “The Lodge”). We had quite a few nights that we would all pretend we were professional wrestlers and have elaborate ring introductions and names and back stories. It got quite rambunctious in there.
Sarah Smith: In the early 1990s during my JC years, the stable staff used to have ongoing all-out prank wars. The staff lounge, home to a much smaller group than today, was in the old Duplex building next to the barn so off-duty staff were regularly on that side of the brook. Super Soaker waterguns, water balloons, toilet paper streamers, shaving cream, baby powder, even manure. Nothing was off limits, nothing was sacred. I have never been so wet/dirty/smelly or laughed so hard in my life.
